| Priya Narayan - Director - Bollywood Rhythms Performing Arts |
|
 |
Priya
has lived in the Chicagoland area for the past ten years. A graduate of
Loyola University, Priya is working at Proactive Properties, a Real
Estate firm in Downtown Chicago. She began her dancing career at the
tender age of four. Her family recognized her talent and encouraged
Classical Indian dance and her love the arts began. Since then dancing
has been a part of her life. Trained in Classical dances such as
Bharatnatyam and Kathak, she expanded her love of the arts into
Bollywood. Utilizing the training she has from the classical world, her
talent in Bollywood came immediately. Always involved in different
cultural organizations, Priya has been been able to showcase her talent
at many different venues in the midwest. She has choreographed many
dances while at Loyola with Nisar Naimi, as well as after for many
festivals and Cultural events across the Midwest.
As Director of Bollywood Rhythms Performing Arts, Priya has brought
together young adults of Chicago to give the Community another
opportunity to experience South Asian Culture and Art.

Nisar Naimi
|
 |
Nisar Naimi is a spontaneous, energetic and very social type of guy. He
loves to explore the world of creative arts, whether it be dancing to
Bhangra and Bollywood tunes or perhaps creating and designing a
spectacular event as his professional career.
Nisar has been performing on stage since he young childhood
days. He and Priya Narayan were co-choreographers for several cultural
shows during their college years. For Nisar, dancing is a means to
release life’s every day stresses. Not only does it keep him in shape,
it helps to keep his energy flowing.
When he is not putting the stage ablaze, Nisar works as the Director of
Events for Sabrina Hans Events. Perhaps it’s the art of creating
something from the very beginning and watching it grow into a
spectacular event, or perhaps it’s purely the adrenaline rush he gets
when things have to done in a timely manner while paying attention to
the smallest details on the day of an event—Nisar has truly picked up
the knack for event planning.

Nisha Aher
|
 |
Hello,
Nisha here, your friendly neighborhood landscaper. I went to Loyola
University for school where I was fortunate enough to take up with a
South Asian group and begin my love of Bollywood dance. After having
taken strict ballet classes for fourteen years, the attitude and fun of
Bollywood was just what I needed. I'm so happy to be able to continue
dancing into my post-college years here with Bollywood Rhythms.

Vijay Aradhya
|
 |
Hey,
I am Vijay. I work as a Business Analyst for a living but would happily
take dancing as a profession anytime. The farthest i can remember as to
when i started liking dancing was probably as a one year old. Greatly
influenced by my uncles and cheered on by aunts, i guess it started off
a favorite family pastime. Have always had a great urge to dance
whenever i listen to some great foot taping music. The great bollywood
movies, with their special focus on songs and dance, helped it no end.
Initially was a shy kid but finally got to do something on the stage
during my bachelors and have been going on n on till date. My mantra "Dance like no one's watching" | |

|
 |
Seetal's passion for dance evolved from his passion for music. He is an
accomplished tabla player and singer, and growing up in different
corners of the world (Texas, Singapore, India) has enabled him to
appreciate his cultural roots. Seetal was actively involved in the Penn
State and Philadelphia communities as part of Bollywood and Fusion
dance groups, while also performing as a solo musician at several
venues. Chicago and Bollywood Rhythms provides Seetal another
